Each glass chime is a unique, hand-made piece, inspired by the beauty of Michigan nature. The glass pieces are individually selected and cut, and are then drilled, soldered, and strung. Silver plated, tarnish resistant wire is used to protect the chimes when exposed to the elements, and has proven to hold up beautifully, even in harsh Michigan weather.
The driftwood base of each chime is gathered from a small inlet along Lake Michigan. Over 100 years ago this inlet was the base of operations for a logging mill, and century old pieces of weathered Northern Michigan timber wash up on shore each day.
